The craziness of summer life on the jersey shore has finally settled down and fall is setting in. For me, this usually starts around this time but for some its earlier. Autumn winds off the bay keep all my windows open and I can see my crock pot getting ready for some love. But, like they say, "No rest for the weary". Fortunately I had a very busy summer, playing some times 7 days a week, now that has dwindled down to weekends which means its time for me to hit the road. Heading out west again but this time I'm hitting the pacific north west to be exact. Starting of in Spokane I'll be hitting up Indie Air Radio with my friend Bob Rice in Spokane Washington. We will be doing an interview and a live performance in his artist studio. You can find tickets and more info at www.indieairradio.com. From their Ill be playing a few shows in Seattle at some classic haunts then moving down to Oregon to play at Coria Winery and some exciting Halloween weekend shows in the Portland are at The Lombard House and The East Side Bar and Grille.Cant wait to go to the cool ass town of Ashwood OR and play at Oberon's. Making my return to California I'll be hitting NorCal legendary venue Smileys in Bolinas then finishing up in the Santa Cruz area at Bocci's Cellar and Joe's Bar in Boulder Creek. Cant wait to catch up with my west coast buds and play some music.
I also got to get back into Little Eden Studios and finished off an EP with my friend Pete Steinkopf in Asbury Park. It came out great Im really proud of it. A small collection of songs to bring on the road with me entitled "Ephemeral as a kiss". It features some of my fathers past art work as the cover design. These are mostly older, personal songs that have been waiting to be heard. The time is right ,so they say.
Heading back to the keys after my trip out west and my mighty return to The Hurricane in Marathon Florida which survived the storm!! I wonder if the band room looks any different? Currently I'm locking in some dates for Thanksgiving weekend and December. Im also making some big plans for this winter so stay tuned for all the updates. In the mean time please enjoy the music and come out to a show!! Get off Facebook will ya?! Cheers!- Rye
